Last week, Safran Data Systems participated in the Sprint Advanced Concept Training 24-1 Experiment series supported by the U.S Joint Task Force-Space Defense Commercial Operations Cell in Toulouse, FRANCE.

A diverse range of Space Domain Awareness topics, including the operationalization of space weather, was explored, showcasing several new services:
– Passive RF Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI)
– New orbit determination algorithms
– Novel telescope systems

The Joint Task Force-Space Defense (JTF-SD) was formed as a functional component command under U.S. Space Command in August 2019.
JTF-SD is located at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado.
The Joint Task Force-Space Defense’s mission is, in unified action with mission partners, to deter aggression, defend capabilities and defeat adversaries throughout the continuum of conflict in order to maintain space superiority in the U.S. Space Command area of responsibility.
